in 1912 Jackson Pollock was born in Cody, Wyming he was the youngest of 5 sons he parents names Stella May McClure and LeRoy Pollock. LeRoy Pollock was a farmer. Jackson used home appliences like hard brisle brush and screw drivers and things like that. when he was to use the bush he would dip it in to the paint then he would rub it on the canvase and use the screw driver to spatter paint on the canvace. he was called an action painter. do to the fact that he wasn't a good drawer. he used paint from off the top of his head.
in 1937 Pollock began psychiatric treatment for alcoholism, and he had nervous brake downs the caused him to be institutionlized for about 4 months. after that he started to work with 3 Mexican artist Pablo Picassa, Joan Miro and Jose Clemente Orazco
